Christmas Fund Drive 2018

Every Year at St. Elizabeth’s we have a fund drive at Christmas time. It is a wonderful time to give a Christmas gift to our parish. Each year we have a “designated gift” to contribute toward. This year there are three gifts that you can help give to our parish. One is to help raise money to install an elevator. There are many reasons why an elevator would greatly enhance the use our building by parishioners and guests. The second gift is to donate to the basement renovations to be done after the elevator installation to make it more usable for PRE Classes and Parish Meetings and Bible Studies. The third gift is to increase the Parish Endowment Account. We have an Endowment Account that will help our parish meet expenses for years to come. An Endowment Account is where the principal of the account can never be spent, but the interest earned on the account is given to the parish. Currently, our Endowment Account is earning a 5% return! Registered parish members will receive a letter explaining these gifts and there will be a donation envelope included with the letter. If you wish to give a Christmas Gift to our parish, this will be a wonderful way to do it!  There are additional letters and envelopes in the mezzanine area.

Safe Environment Training

All those who minister to children or young people are to be educated about the nature of child sexual abuse, how it is perpetrated, how to report it, and strategies for prevention.  The Diocese of Salina has implemented a training program by the name of "CMGConnect".  This is a national program, widely in used in dioceses throughout the United States. It is a web-based on-line training program that specializes in helping churches and religious organizations create safe environments for children and youth.  The program is mandatory for all adults [employees or volunteers] who interact on a regular basis with children in the Salina Diocese.
