It’s time to bring back the Baby bottles for Birthright. The change or bills collected in the baby bottles between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day is greatly appreciated by the women, girls and babies who need the services at Birthright of Salina. Please return them to the bassinette in the mezzanine area.

St. Elizabeth's will have Vacation Bible School (VBS) from July 14-18, 2019.  It will be every evening from 6:00-8:00pm.  All children from 4 years old to 9 years old as of July 1st are welcome!  Our theme this year is, "Roar – Life is Wild – God is Good!"  Registration forms and medical release forms are available in the Mezzanine area.  Please fill out both forms and drop in the collection basket or return to Fr. Keith after Mass.  You may also mail completed forms to Fr. Keith at 1000 Burr Oak Lane, Salina, KS 67401.

This person provides leadership in the planning and executing of music in parish liturgies and the coordinating of ministry to young parishioners.

 Job Duties
1) Directs the parish music program, including the planning of the music for liturgical seasons, some wedding celebrations, some funerals and works with the PRE Directors for planning and executing of music for First Communions, Confirmations and other liturgical celebrations.

2) Prepares and manages worship budget in cooperation with the pastor.

3) Directs the parish music program and selects and plans music as needed for liturgical celebrations.

4) Works with the various parish choirs.

5) Provides leadership for the training of cantors and other musicians.

6) Schedules musicians for various liturgical celebrations.

7) Schedules liturgical ministers for Sunday Masses and Holy Days

8) Will play the keyboard for all Masses two weekends per month.

9) Acts as consultant to parishioners in planning of sacramental liturgies i.e. weddings, funerals.

10) Works to foster unity among all musicians and to create a spirit of harmony with parishioners.

11) Organizes a weekly program for pre-school children.

12) Organizes volunteers for Children’s Liturgy during weekend Masses.

13) Organizes summer Vacation Bible School

14) Organizes another summer activity for pre-school/grade school parishioners.

15) Works with Women’s Group for the organizing of the Fall Festival, especially involvement of youth.

16) Ensures that all volunteers have completed the Safe Environment Training offered by the diocese.

Catholic Charities Thrift Store is now open at 1500 S. 9th Street in Salina.  The Thrift store carries a variety of clothing, housewares, bedding, toys, and accessories and is open to the public. Clients of Catholic Charities will receive vouchers for limited merchandise based on need. All those who minister to children or young people are to be educated about the nature of child sexual abuse, how it is perpetrated, how to report it, and strategies for prevention.  The Diocese of Salina has implemented a training program by the name of "CMGConnect".  This is a national program, widely in used in dioceses throughout the United States. It is a web-based on-line training program that specializes in helping churches and religious organizations create safe environments for children and youth.  The program is mandatory for all adults [employees or volunteers] who interact on a regular basis with children in the Salina Diocese.
